Housing Stability & Development 

This services is for individuals and families experiencing housing instability or at risk of losing housing. 

The REACH Center provides housing support, referrals, and planning for the development of affordable housing solutions. This pillar helps individuals and families create plans to secure and maintain safe, stable housing. 

 

This services includes: 

  • Safe at Home (SAH): Offering housing assistance, safety planning, and support services to help individuals and families remain safely housed. This program is especially focused on assisting those fleeing domestic violence or experiencing crisis situations. 

​

Pre-qualifications: 

  • Must be experiencing housing instability or at risk of homelessness 

  • Willing to engage in case management and support services

Food Drive

Health & Nutrition

This services is for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity or seeking nutrition education and wellness support. 

The Health and Nutrition program supports individuals and families experiencing food insecurity while promoting overall wellness. Services include:

​​

  • Monthly Food Distribution: Held on the first Thursday of each month from 11 AM – 1 PM at The Impact Center in Rocky Mount.

  • Community Pantry: Open Monday through Wednesday, 11 AM – 4 PM.

  • Senior Food Box Program: Provided every other Wednesday for eligible seniors.

  • Community Garden: Growing fresh produce for local families.

In addition, we provide mental health and trauma support through alternative therapies such as garden workshops, music therapy, and dance therapy. Our goal is to improve health, strengthen resilience, and build a thriving community.

Thrive Workforce Academy  

This services is for community members who are unemployed, underemployed, or seeking career advancement, looking for practical support and skill-building to secure meaningful work. 

The Thrive Workforce Academy equips individuals with the skills, resources, and personal support needed to achieve long-term employment and financial stability. Includes job readiness training, resume and interview coaching, financial literacy workshops, and personalized Barrier-Breaker Navigation support to help participants overcome real-world obstacles to work.

Pre-qualifications: 

  • Must be actively seeking employment or career advancement 

  • Willing to participate in training and coaching sessions

04

Economic Equity & Small Business Hub 

This services is for local entrepreneurs, small business owners, and individuals seeking to launch or grow their businesses, with an emphasis on first-generation and underrepresented entrepreneurs. 

The Economic Equity & Small Business Hub focuses on building economic self-sufficiency through education, mentorship, and opportunity. The program includes 11-week entrepreneurship classes in partnership with Nash Community College (10 weeks of instruction plus a pitch competition), business mentoring, networking events, and access to the Thrive List Black Business Directory.

 

Pre-qualifications: 

  • Open to all aspiring or existing small business owners 

  • Willing to participate in training and mentorship
